John Carl Kienbaum Jr.

owns Kienbaum Excavating & Septic, the Pewaukee septic and excavating contractor that grew out of a childhood spent on heavy equipment. Raised on the family farm in Whitewater, Wisconsin, he was running machinery by age twelve in the family excavating and septic trade before striking out on his own in the Waukesha County market.

Before launching the firm, Kienbaum spent nine years as a septic crew foreman installing an average of three systems a week. Since 1999 he has diagnosed, repaired, pumped, and installed systems across Waukesha County and beyond. The business dates to 2007 as an LLC focused on mound and conventional systems, soil testing, sewer work, and demolition.

He holds Wisconsin Master Plumber–Restricted and Certified Soil Tester credentials and belongs to the Wisconsin Onsite Water Recycling Association. Kienbaum lives in Pewaukee with his wife, Christina, who runs the office, keeping the operation a husband-and-wife shop rooted in Lake Country.
